John Eagle

John Eagle

Lives near the village of Eyeries. Inspired by the wildness of the Beara Peninsula. Paints from memories of growing up in Beara when fishermen rowed their boats out to sea. This and the storms with ever changing light gives him the subject matter for his oil paintings. He rarely paints from photographs, preferring to paint direct from mental imagery straight onto the canvas

John Eagle conducts boat trips and walking tours of Beara and also week long tours of Irish coast of lighthouses
